WANT TO HAVE FUN WORKING  WITH KIDS?

 

Each year the Harwood Museum serves over 6000 children for our Harwood educational programs. Groups of children join us in our Fern Houge Mitchell Education Center and our galleries for fun and educational projects like The Art in Schools program, The Art Explorer's Club and The Teen Engagement Program.  

 

Our children's educational programs can provide volunteers with some of the most rewarding experiences we have to offer.

 

There are 2 ways to participate.

 

1.) Help create the materias and set up the room - 6000 kids need a lot of materials. And each child needs a special place prepared for them to do their project.  Helping in this capacity can have more flexible scheduling. 

 

2.) Help assist during classes - This volunteer position requires a larger and more regular time commitment. These volunteers will be needed for 1/2 days on a regular basis.

 

Note that these positions require references and possibly a background check.
